James McManus, Physical Therapy Aide
James joined Back in Motion two years ago while pursuing his degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Southern Maine. After graduation, James joined the staff full time as a Physical Therapy Aide. He is also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist with a focus in collegiate athletic training/conditioning. James plans on pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In his free time, James enjoys music, traveling with his girlfriend, and working on is camp on the ocean. He can often be found there on warm weather nights.
Stephanie Schwartz, Physical Therapy Aide
Stephanie went to the University of Missouri and received a BA in General Studies, focus in Nutritional Sciences, Psychology, and Pre-Physical Therapy. She also attended the National Personal Training Institute in Chicago, where she received her certification as a personal trainer. Since moving to Maine, she worked at Vibrantcare Rehabilitation as a PT aide. The thing that first caught her attention when she walked through the Back in Motion doors was how everyone had a smile on their face, even the patients! She loves being in a work environment that’s filled with happy people. What Stephanie enjoys most about her job is hearing patients say how much better they are feeling. Stephanie is currently in the process of applying to physical therapy programs in hopes of earning her DPT. She hopes to be hard at work as a physical therapist helping as many people as possible!
Whitney Fahy, Patient Representative
Whitney came to Back in Motion in October 2009. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Art and Visual Culture from Bates College in May 2008. Not sure the direction she wanted to go, she started with Back in Motion as a physical therapy aide in South Portland and recently transferred to the front desk as the Patient Representative in the South Portland clinic. While at Bates she excelled in Divison 1 Ski Racing, even qualifying for the nationals twice. In her spare time you can still find her on the slopes, hiking, going to the beach, and riding her motorcycle!
Joline Waldecker, Vice President of Administration
Joline joined Back in Motion in August of 2002. She earned her certificate in physical therapy aide at Mid State College in October 1999 and was an PT aide for over 6 years (3 years with Back in Motion). Six years ago she moved into the Back in Motion billing office in South Portland. In her spare time Joline enjoys relaxing with a good book, watching a movie, going to the beach, or finding her next destination for vacation. She recently married her sweetheart of over five years in May 2011.
