The Best Version of Me: Making Healthy Decisions

Nobody said it would be easy.

Here’s a quick update of how my week is going.  Here is a quick reminder of my weekly goals:

  1. I will work out at least 4 days per week.

  2. I will eat at least 4 servings of veggies a day.

  3. I will eat at least 3 servings of fruit a day.

  4. I won’t snack on unnecessary calories.

Selecting a Program and Goals

The Best Version of Me: Making Healthy DecisionsI won’t lie, the first couple of days were rough getting out of bed. Because of that I technically only worked out on three days. However, the third day was a double session to try and make up for it. Therefore, I would say I didn’t meet goal #1 this week. The next two I was able to get in. I am taking in better calories and eating less carbs which was part of my reasoning for those last three goals. I definitely met #2 and #3. As for #4 I was much better but need to keep making better snacking decisions. Creating a shopping list moving forward is going to help with that. I am also going to make a real effort to meal prep AT LEAST my snacks and lunches for work. That will make decision making when I am getting ready in the morning that much easier. To help me reach goal #1 I am going to plan to work out Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday next week and set alarms on my phone accordingly. If I get others in that’s a bonus.

Remember, don’t just make attainable goals, do whatever you can within your power to help yourself attain them.
