What do you know about Pumpkin?

As much as it kills me to think about it, Fall is definitely on it’s way. The nights are starting too cool down and before you know it, it will be dark at about 4:00pm here in Maine. So depressing.

However, there are things that I really love about fall. I love wearing sweatshirts, sitting by a campfire, making things in my crock-pot and just about any type of food or drink with pumpkin in it.  Dunkin’ Donuts Pumpkin coffee (the latte’s especially), pumpkin muffins, pumpkin donuts, Shipyard Pumpkinhead, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, PUMPKIN EVERYTHING. Heck, I can’t even wait to light my pumpkin scented candles. Something about pumpkin just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Don’t lie…you feel the same way too.

There is only one thing I hate about the pumpkin craze…it starts in AUGUST. Whyyyyyyyy!? I refuse to let myself indulge in anything pumpkin until September 1st. It just doesn’t seem right. The last time I checked, autumn started September 22, not August 22. People are jumping the gun here.

That was just a little rant I had to get out. Hopefully others feel the same way and you can relate to me. I can’t be the only one. But back to the pumpkin…turns out pumpkin is extremely good for you! (Maybe not so much in the beer and donuts but one can dream). Even my cat’s all natural/organic food has a Tuna&Pumpkin can…she seems to love it so it must be good.
